Our facility consists of a retail space, 8 heated greenhouses and an outdoor garden center.
PLANTS & SUCCULENTS
We have a wide variety of houseplants and succulents available throughout the year. These are both great options for gifts or to brighten your home.
We have a growing library. Topics include gardening, permaculture, sustainability and more. Books are generously on loan from community friends. Enjoy reading in our greenhouse which is sunny and warm all year long.
Have books to loan to our library? Call us to set up an appointment for drop off. All books stay on site.
Two and a half acres contains the Pleasant Ridge School Garden, the Youth Initiative School Garden and a no-charge community garden.
We have fruit trees and open space and wooded spaces where children are welcome to play. We host the YIHS Archery class and various festivals.
We are continually expanding our offerings.
* Educational classes and rental space
* Compost, worm compost and compost tea
* Winter greens - salad, microgreens, sprouts, wheatgrass and fresh herbs.
* Seasonal cut flowers
* Fall mums, pumpkins, bulbs and straw
